Fisheries Services & Management
We have been actively involved in fisheries management and fish farming for a number of years, and on the fringes of the industry for even longer. During this 25 year time span a wealth of knowledge has been gained across a broad spectrum of species including the more exotic aquarist /hobbyist ornamental species, (koi being the most well known). Our experiences particularly in France, where the industry can only be described as enormous, presented the opportunity to increase our practical skills base, far more than could be expected here in the UK, eg netting on a diverse range of inland waterways from small streams and farm ponds to 44 hectare reservoirs.
This transferable skills base has, and will continue, to allow our business to offer a number of professional services. Our steadily growing client base already includes developers, other fisheries, clubs and syndicates, as well as land/estate managers/owners.
We have invested steadily in equipment over the years, which in itself, reflects our commitment to our customers. Over the last few years, we have diversified into related works, which has also proved to be advantageous to both us and our clients. These activities include advice on aquatic planting, eg with a view to alleviating bank erosion, to ecologically balanced planting schemes, with all the benefits this brings including the improvement of the wider environment. Habitat improvement is of growing importance in these modern times.
As a result of this, we envisage this aspect of the business to grow, and we, as a company, would encourage any client, big or small, to contact us on any aquatic related issues. BE ASSURED THAT IF WE DON’T HAVE A SOLUTION, OUR INDUSTRY CONTACTS WILL, thereby bringing all the necessary skills under one roof.
